Alibaba.com Integrates AI and Tokenized Payments to Streamline B2B Transactions
Alibaba.com is rolling out a suite of AI-driven tools aimed at transforming B2B procurement. The platform's new 'AI Mode,' priced at $20 monthly or $99 annually, enhances supplier search and analytics, offering buyers a more efficient way to navigate its vast network. A December launch is planned for 'agentic pay,' an AI feature that auto-drafts contracts from buyer-supplier conversations—cutting processing time and human error.
The company is also exploring tokenized payments using digital euros and U.S. dollars to accelerate cross-border transactions. A potential collaboration with JPMorgan could leverage the bank's blockchain-based Kinaxis platform, which has already processed over $1 billion in settlements. This MOVE signals Alibaba's push to align B2B commerce with institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure.
